Risk:

Use the integrated risk management facility to identify, classify, and prioritize specific risks associated with specific work breakdown structure (WBS) elements and resources.

You can also create a risk control plan and provide the probability of occurrence and an organizational breakdown structure (OBS) element for each risk. A risk OBS element is the individual or project manager responsible for managing the risk. 

The "Risk Management" feature enables you to do a "what-if" impact analysis for each project risk. Using the probability of risk, the date of potential impact, and estimates of resource unit and expense, you calculate the net risk values ​​of the risk. 

These risk values ​​are used to reschedule the project and determine the impact of risk on cost, float and expiration date.

 

For adding a Risk, the steps are: 

1. Choose Project, Risk.

2. Click on Add.

3. Click the Display Risk Details, and then the General tab 

4. Type the name of the risk.

5. Click to select the work breakdown structure (WBS) element that will affect the risk that applies to the WBS field. Select the WBS element, and then click the Select button.

6. To select the resource that will affect the risk that applies to the resource area, click. Select the resource, and then click the Select button. If resource protection is enabled, you can only see the current project resources and the resources that you have access to.

7. To select an OBS member responsible for controlling risk in the Responsible Manager area, click. Select the OBS member, then click on the Select button. 

8. In the Risk Type field, click to identify the type of risk you want. Select the risk type, and then click the Select button. 

9. Select the status and priority level to specify the risk.

10. In the Date identified field, to specify a risk identification date other than the current date, click. Choose a new date, and then click the Select button. 

11. Click the Description tab, and then write a description of the risk.

12. To enter a description of the risk control plan, click on the Control tab and then type the details.








Issues:

Issues identify problems within the schedule that must be addressed before project completion. 

Once you create an issue, you can assign a priority level, tracking layout, and the manager responsible for it. You can also e-mail the details of the issue with your comments to any member of the project staff.

For adding  an Issue,the steps are:

1. Choose Project, Issues.

2. Click on Add. 

3. Click Display Details Details, and then the General tab. 

4. Type the name of the issue.

5. In the Responsible Manager field, click Select Person to Assign, and then click the Select button.

6. In the Tracking Layout area, click Select Layout to join the issue, and then click the Select button.

7. In the Date Identified field, click to select a date (if the current system is different from the date).

8. Select the status of the issue. 

9. Select the priority level of the issue.

10. Click on the Details tab.
