Difference between Mild steel and Stainless steel

Steel is a very important material which is widely used in various industries like construction industry, manufacturing industry, etc.

Steel is used for manufacturing machines, infrastructure, tools, ships, trains, cars, machines, electrical appliances, weapons,other things such as reinforcement bars.

Differences between them are stated below :-

Mild steel:

Mild steel has a low carbon content. It is also known as low carbon steel. Carbon is between 0.05% to 0.25%.

Stainless Steel:

Stainless steel is that steel contains alloy of iron and carbon. It contains 10.5% chromium, less than 1.2% carbon and other alloying elements.

Stainless steel is corrosion resistant and does not rust or scratch often. Some other mechanical properties can be added by mixing other elements, such as nickel, molybdenum, titanium, niobium, manganese, etc.
